2008 was the official "year of the dinosaur" in Portland. I was commisioned to paint two dinosaur models for two clients, The Portland Trail Blazers and the Leech Botanical Gardens. The dinosaurs were part of a larger city wide project that planted whismically painted dinosaur models throughout the city.
The red dinosaur was for the TrailBlazers and was featured during the half time show at the Rose Garden.
The Leech Garden dinosaur is part of an ongoing educational program that explores the diet and historical plant life at the time of the dinosaurs. It is permenantly on display at the Leech Botanical Gardens.
