Consider your relationship with your surroundings. The input creating what you perceive as reality is nothing more than waves of energy that pass through your senses and into the brain, which filters this input and makes you 'see'.
But where does the definition of reality occur? In the space beyond yourself, or within your mind? I believe that your interpretation of the world is under your control. This exhibit explores the process of how we define our reality. By forcing the viewer to 'see' the images that I choose, this piece highlights the extent to which what one sees as reality is a choice. Try to override the automatic passive response to your surroundings. Explore the range of control that you possess to choose your own reality.
Choice was my MFA thesis project at PSU.
