Quantum Videos

Quantum mechanics demonstrates that a particle exists in multiple locations simultaneously. When that particle is observed, the ‘wave function collapse’ phenomenon occurs, ‘collapsing’ the particle into one location.
These Quantum Videos speak to the wave function collapse mystery. By providing a window into the uncollapsed universe, they show what exists before one’s own ‘observation’ occurs, before looking becomes seeing.
These videos build on my work in the Quantum Paintings, which play with the way the brain finds patterns and faces in random visual cues (pareidolia). By adding the elements of time and change, the videos further expose the unfixed state of the universe, and the limitations inherent to our perceptions.
